SEED Events
Below is just a selection of the many events SEED hosts throughout the year to bring members together, build lasting friendships, and support their professional growth.
McKinsey & Co Case Competition

The McKinsey SEED Case Competition gave members the opportunity to tackle a real-world business challenge and put their problem-solving skills to the test. Participants gained hands-on case experience while getting exposure to the type of thinking used in consulting.
Bodo's on the Lawn

A long-standing SEED tradition, Bodo’s on the Lawn brings members together to enjoy Bodo’s bagels, study, and catch up as the fall leaves begin to change. Hosted by a SEED Lawnie, the event offers a relaxed way for members to connect and helps welcome new students to life on Grounds.
Hike & Bites

With Shenandoah right in UVA’s backyard, SEED members love getting outside and exploring together. Whether hiking the classic Humpback Rocks or venturing through the Blue Ridge Tunnel, our adventures are a great way to connect and usually end with a well-earned brunch.
Seedling Final Presentation and Dinner

After a semester of learning, collaborating, and developing creative solutions for real-world businesses, our Seedlings wrap up the experience by presenting their work to SEED fourth years and exec. We celebrate all they’ve accomplished and their first official semester in SEED with a fun rooftop dinner, ice cream, and a chance to celebrate together.
Crozet Kickoff

Last semester, we kicked off the semester with pizza and wings at Crozet Pizza. Members connected with their project teams, caught up with friends, and got excited the semester ahead.
Proof of Fun

Projects give members the opportunity to connect with students across different years, majors, and interests. At the start of each project, teams choose a fun way to spend time together outside of regular meetings, pictured above, the Luce Project team enjoyed a delicious Italian dinner from Luce!
